Wabi-sabi: celebrate transformation
An introduction to the Japanese concept of 'wabi-sabi' or the philosophy of the beauty of imperfection, incomplete and the impermanet.
This is a lesson that will show you very clearly that you are not broken - you are merely transforming.
Wabi-sabi is the Japanese philosophy about the beauty of imperfection, impermanence and the incomplete. It is a secret philosophy that makes us understand that our brokenes is just a sign of transformation. It is a delicate understanding of life that I have spent the last 20 years reading, thinking and writing about. It is a philosophy that carried myself through many crises, big and small. And I believe we need to reach into old philosophies again to get introduced to mindsets about life that are deeper than the model we are being presented with today. Consumerism is simply not cutting it! And wabi-sabi is an opposite concept that will help anyone gain better balance when navigating a broken world with a broken soul.
I have put a 45 minute lecture together for you (that you can download as a podcast), with a 2000 word essay about the topic that you can also download as a pdf.
